Volar

Quédate con aquel
que te mire volar,
que te deje volar,
que te impulse a volar
y te alcance en tu vuelo.

I love...

Friday, March 13, 2015

I love unmade beds.
I love when people are drunk and crying
and cannot be anything but honest in that moment.
I love the look in people's eyes
when they realize they're in love.
I love the way people look when they first wake up
and they've forgotten their surroundings.
I love the gasp people take
when their favorite character dies.
I love when people close their eyes
and drift somewhere in the clouds.

I fall in love with their breakdowns
and their smeared makeup
and their daydreams.

Honesty is just too beautiful
to ever put into words.

Nothing & Everything

Wednesday, March 11, 2015

We are human beings made up
of atoms, and molecules,
and star stuff,
and we store memories in the
form of scars, bruises and
laugh lines - the ones
on your skin and the ones in your heart.

We live in houses made up
of four walls and can either
protect you or suffocate you,
inspire you or kill you,

We read books made up
of dead trees
with every page telling
a story,
a moment,
a feeling.

We sleep in beds made up
of sleepless nights and
hopeful dreams,
and we fall in love there,
or out of love,
or we make love.

We write, we dance, we hope, we inspire.
We are nothing and we are everything.

Why I think Stiles and Malia's hookup in Echo House made sense.

Tuesday, March 10, 2015

I know there’s been a lot of criticism regarding the hookup Stiles and Malia had in the episode Echo House, and I understand that unprotected sex is an issue, I get that!.

But regardless, I actually believe the hookup other than being out of the blue or it seemed to come out of nowhere, I actually believe it made total sense.

Let me elaborate:

Malia’s back story is tragic and sad, hence why she was in a mental institution in the first place. She changed into a coyote without knowing she was supernatural and killed her own mother and sister, after that she lived as a coyote for about 8 years without having real human emotions.

When Scott turned her into human again, she was finally forced to deal with her actions, with the consequences of what she did, realizing that she was a murderer even if she was not aware of her actions, think of how this can make a person feel? The guilt? The feeling of not deserving?

Now lets move to Stiles:

Stiles was in a really dark place in this episode, feeling exactly like Malia if you think about it. Even though he had no control over his actions, he felt so much guilt about all the people he was hurting and all the damage he had done, that he put himself into a mental institution to get away of it all, to make all the destruction stop.

When Stiles shares what’s happening to him, encouraged by Malia’s argument that after everything she had done, nothing could make her judge him, I’m sure that made them feel very connected, close, and much in understanding of what the other one was going through. I truly believe that in this episode both Malia and Stiles were in desperate need of feeling human themselves, of feeling some sort of connection, feeling human contact. Sometimes sex can be about feeling something, anything! other than the pain, the guilt, the sorrow, that was cripple them both and consuming them.

Both these characters felt so lonely at this point, feeling like no one could possibly understand what they were feeling, that no one could grasp the level of detachment from their own skin and their own feeling of self. But then they found each other and realized that they were both experiencing the same need.

Them having sex in that episode was all about feeling alive, connecting with another human being, I actually think it was a primal instinct, just trying to not going insane inside their own heads. This is why on season 4 their connection is so theirs, no one can understand what happened that night in that basement but them. They know what that night meant to them, and why it saved them in a way. Just them, and it is unique.

Whatever happens with Stiles and Malia, I am a true believer that the hookup on this episode was not only important but it made complete sense for these two characters and what they were going through at this time.
